Bishop Ivy A. Hopkins
Founder & President General of the Church of the Living God.
Bishop Ivy Ann Hopkins was saved at age 14 and called to ministry at 16. She was ordained in 1966 and became a pastor at 25. She is the Founder of Grace Temple Church of the Living God in Steelton, PA, as well as Founder and CEO of Grace Temple Community Development Inc. and Grace Learning Center.
Bishop Hopkins holds advanced Bible studies credentials and a Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry. She has served in numerous leadership roles, including President of the Pennsylvania State Foreign Mission, Pennsylvania State Elder, and Bishop of the Pennsylvania Diocese I, overseeing 24 churches. In 2018, she was elected the first female President General of the Church of the Living God.
Her ministry includes cross-cultural missions in Africa, Europe, and the Caribbean. Bishop Hopkins is also an accomplished instructor and has received many awards for her leadership and service. She is married to Deacon Curtis R. Hopkins, Sr., and is a proud mother and grandmother.
