Mission Statement
Grace Temple Church of the Living God, Inc. is devoted to the worship and adoration of God and committed to the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, His Son. We are dedicated to spreading the love of Christ in accordance with the Word of God. Our commitment is to the children of all ages, young adults, and adults within the church and beyond the church walls. The ministry of the word includes teaching, preaching, and nurturing the soul. It is our prayer that all who hear will come to know the Lord in the pardon of their sins.
What We Believe
Doctrinal Statement
We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, infallible and inerrant in the original writings.
We believe there is only one Living and True God, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible; and in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, in the beginning, and in the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Truth which proceeds from the Father and Son, and is a gift to the believer: and these three agree as one.
We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ and that He suffered, was crucified, died, and was buried. The third day He rose again, He ascended into the Father, and His return is imminent to come again to judge the quick and the dead.
We believe Satan is the adversary of God and man.
We believe that man was created in the image of God; man sinned, bringing death to all in his fall.
We believe in repentance from sin, in the atonement by substitutionary death and shed blood of Jesus Christ for the propitiation of the sins of the world.
We believe that salvation is by grace through personal faith in Jesus Christ, thereby experiencing the new birth.
We believe in baptism by immersion in water.
We believe in sanctification and in the baptism, filling, and indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life, and in the operations of gifts in the church.
We believe that the Church is the body and bride of Christ, and is composed solely of born-again believers.
We believe the commission of Christ is still incumbent on every believer to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
We believe in the resurrection, ascension, and imminent return of Christ for the church. We acknowledge one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and in you all. AMEN.
