TENETS OF FAITH

TENETS OF FAITH

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and not of yourselves: it is the
gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8)

Bible
The Holy Bible, the Scriptures, is inspired, (GOD-breathed), inerrant (without error) in the original writings, absolute in its authority and complete in its revelation. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21)

God
There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely powerful, omniscient (all-knowing) and  omnipresent (everywhere present and now). God eternally exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (Psalm 90:2; Acts 17:24, Acts 2:32-33)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and  born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus bled and died on the cross, and was buried. On the  third, He was resurrected according to the Scriptures. Jesus' death was the complete  and final sacrifice for the sins of mankind. 40 days later, He ascended into heaven, where He is now seated at the right hand of the Father where He always lives to make intercession for us, our great High Priest and Advocate. (John1:1, John 1:14; II Corinthians 5:21; Matthew 1:18; Hebrews 4:15, Hebrews 7:25)

The Holy Spirit

The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict men of sin, regenerate, indwell, guide, instruct, and empower the believer for godly living and  service. (John 16: 7-15)

Salvation
The shed blood of Jesus Christ provides the only means of justification (being made right with GOD) and salvation from the coming judgment upon those who reject Him. Only those who receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus,  become children of God. He is our blessed hope. (Romans 10:9-13; I Thessalonians 4:14, I Thessalonians 5:9-10)

Future Events
There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
(Revelation 21, Rev 20:11-15)

The Church
The true Church is composed of all who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in one body of which Christ is the head. (Colossians 1:18; Ephesians 5:23)

Baptism
Water baptism by immersion after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Christ. (Matthew 3:11; Acts 36-39)

Communion

The Lord's Supper is the most blessed and sacred bond between the body of believers and their risen Lord. It commemorates His death and suffering. It is a moment of high spiritual experience, an expression of our devotion to the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. (I Corinthians 11:23-32; Matthew 17-30; Mark 14:12-25; Luke 22:7-23)
